Three ICFM members pass Diploma with distinction

Three Institute of Car Fleet Management members attained their Diploma in Car Fleet Management with distinction in 2009.  They are Marie Jarrold from BCA, Sara Wisniewski from Lex Autolease and Michelle Hallam from Fisher Scientific.

In view of the worsening economic climate, the Council of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) has replaced its scheduled full-day members’ national conference on Tuesday March 31 at Peugeot UK’s headquarters in Coventry with a free training workshop open to members and one guest each.  The umbrella theme for the workshop of ‘Rising to today’s fleet challenges’ means it will be a ‘must attend’ event for any member serious about overcoming the current economic difficulties.

ICFM training in high demand despite recession

The Institute of Car Fleet Management’s (ICFM) range of courses are proving in high demand despite the recession, with the ICFM ‘Fast Track’ Certificate Programme leading associate members to attain the externally-endorsed Certificate in Car Fleet Management qualification (and an upgrade to full member status within the Institute) proving a sell-out. 

First Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme a success

The first BVRLA Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme, delivered by trainers of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM), has received a warm welcome from the industry. The first course was a sell-out, with representatives from Arval, Hitachi Capital Fleet, JCT 600, Leaseplan, Lloyds TSB Autolease, Lombard, Marshall Leasing and Masterlease. Demand for the vocational training has been so strong that organisers have arranged for another course, which will start in late October

Alan Myers - A Tribute

Alan Myers, who sadly passed away last Thursday, aged just 54, was not a name immediately associated with the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM), but he was nonetheless a key figure back in late 1991 when it was Alan’s and the late Peter Moxon’s original vision which created the concept that enabled the formation of the ICFM the following year.

15th ICFM Annual Members, Conference - Vision for the future, transport & climate change

Attendees at the 15th Annual Members - Conference of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM), held at The Honda Institute in Colnbrook on March 11, heard chairman, Roddy Graham outline his vision for the future of the Institute plus presentations on the impact of climate change on the fleet industry under the conference theme 'Drive Less - Achieve More.' Speakers at the event included Colin Challen, Labour MP and chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group; Tim Anderson, fleet advice manager at The Energy Saving Trust; Mark Cowling, business development director of CAP; and Don Potts, environmental transport advisor. Alec Stewart OBE, England's most-capped cricketer ever, was the guest after-lunch speaker and hosts, Honda, fielded the TT 130mph outright lap record holder and 13 times TT winner, John McGuiness.
