The ICFM ‘Fast Track' Intermediate Programme
The ICFM ‘Fast Track' Intermediate Programme has proven to be an effective and enjoyable means of enabling Associate members to attain the externally-endorsed Certificate in Car Fleet Management qualification (and an upgrade to full Member status within the Institute).
The study units are contained within three modules - one of two days duration and two of three days. This means that it is now possible for the Certificate qualification to be gained within an eight to nine-month timescale. Modules are run approximately two to three months apart. Assignments and competence assessments have been revised to match the ‘accelerated' style programme.
Programme objectives
By the end of the programme trainees should be able to:
- Identify and apply the principles and key skills for the effective administration and management of car fleets at an operational level in five key competence areas.
- Share fleet management related problems and solutions with experienced trainers and associates with similar development needs and goals
- Establish the areas for improvement and development of existing policies, practices and processes to meet future operational efficiency needs and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrate practical application of the principles and skills through successful completion of post module job-based assignments and structured assessment.
