ICFM members shine again in Fleet News Awards

Apart from the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) carrying off the first ever Training Award at the Fleet News 2010 Awards, ICFM members also shone brightly on the night.  Members and graduates scooped four of the five fleet awards on offer.

Caroline Sandall from Barclays Bank was named the 2010 Fleet Manager of the Year in the Fleet News awards and Barclays Bank was named Fleet of the Year in the 501-plus vehicles category.  Caroline holds a Diploma in Car Fleet Management from the ICFM.

CGG Veritas Services UK was named Fleet of the Year in the sub-50 vehicles category at the 2010 awards   Collecting the award was facilities officer and car fleet manager, Louise Claydon, a full member who holds both a Diploma and Certificate in Car Fleet Management.

Bracknell Forest Council was named Fleet of the Year in the 51-250 vehicles category.  Damian James, the head of transport provision, is an associate member of the ICFM.

Chairman of the ICFM, Roddy Graham commented: “We are delighted that members and graduates have been recognised at this year’s Fleet News Awards.  Their awards demonstrate the value of acquiring professional fleet management qualifications and we congratulate them all on their excellent achievement and taking the professionalism of fleet management to new heights.”
