Qualifications - The road to fleet management success
For those who wish to further their career through learning and development and gain professional recognition, the ICFM offers three qualification levels:
Introductory Certificate in Car Fleet Management
The Introductory Certificate level programme caters for the training and development needs of new or relatively recent entrants to the car fleet function, in administrative, sales or service delivery roles. There is the option of an ‘On-line' or ‘Flexible Learning Programme' (CD-ROM or hard copy formats) plus, where there is sufficient demand, a trainer-led ‘Key Start' programme.
Certificate in Car Fleet Management
The Certificate level programme covers the basic principles underpinning effective fleet management at an operational level and is designed to meet the core needs of fleet administrators, managers and service support providers responsible for the effective identification and delivery of either some or all fleet policy elements. There is the option of a ‘Fast Track' or ‘Flexible Learning Programme' (CD-ROM or hard copy formats).
Diploma in Car Fleet Management
The Diploma level programme covers advanced techniques, skills and knowledge required for the strategic and operational management of the entire fleet function and provides an opportunity for experienced fleet practitioners to develop their existing competence base. This is a tutor-led programme.
Exemptions may be awarded (at Introductory and Certificate level only) against the syllabus criteria for individuals who can produce evidence of having attained relevant, recognised qualifications and/or significant achievements in a past or present car fleet operation.
Programmes at all three levels are externally moderated and endorsed by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), part of the City & Guilds Group.
